Consistency Is Key!

As I continue my education to help the athlete's I work with; tonight's course was on the In's and Out's of Base Training. Lots of great stuff talking about the importance of consistency in base training. It got me thinking about an incredible person I met once named Gene Dykes. As I approach 50, I think of Gene often and how even at the age of 75 - he is doing amazing things.

Studies show that lifelong exercise can counteract the age-related decline in VO2 max. In other words, if you’ve been running consistently for decades, your VO2 max will not decline at the same rate as your more sedentary peers: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31873927/

So keep on moving!
